Alexander is the Managing Member and Founder of A.J. Arenburg Financial, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, specializing in middle-market investment banking, including buy- and sell-side M&A transaction advisory, private debt and equity capital raising, and exit planning structuring. His expertise covers leveraged buyouts, capital restructuring, financial due diligence, contract review, and the strategic implementation of financial exit strategies. He has extensive experience in implementing financial strategies, analyzing businesses, executing post-acquisition integration processes, and leading pre-LOI diligence and exit planning processes.

Before founding A.J. Arenburg Financial, Alexander worked at two Florida middle-market investment banks and led the buy-side for a private family office in Tampa, Florida. He also held a senior role in the corporate finance team at Quality Carriers in Tampa, specializing in chemical freight transportation and logistics. In this role, he worked extensively on corporate analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Additionally, Alexander gained experience at a private Florida law firm.

Before his finance career, Alexander worked for Orion Marine Group, a heavy civil marine construction company in Tampa, Florida, as a commercial diver, working on underwater operations, including ocean pipeline installation and maintenance, non-destructive underwater testing, and inshore state and Naval contract jobs. His international diving education and career took him across various locations, where he worked on complex underwater projects. Before his commercial diving career, Alexander worked as a construction worker, specializing in home building and high-end kitchen and bathroom remodeling operations.

Alexander holds a Master’s in Finance from the Kate Tiedemann School of Business in Finance (MSF) at the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Coggin College of Business at the University of North Florida. He also attended the Universitat de Valencia in Valencia, Spain, where he briefly studied economics. In addition, Alexander received his Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification through FINRA.

Additionally, Alexander earned his Occupational Diver Certification Competency through the Diver Certification Board of Canada as an unrestricted surface-supplied mixed-gas diver and his ADC Certification through the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADC).
