Alexander is the Managing Member and Founder of A.J. Arenburg Financial in St. Petersburg, Florida. He specializes in middle-market investment banking, including buy- and sell-side M&A advisory, private debt/equity capital raising, and exit planning. His expertise spans leveraged buyouts, capital restructuring, financial due diligence, contract review, and strategic exit implementation.

Before entering finance, he spent nearly a decade as a roofer and home builder, gaining hands-on experience in construction management and high-end remodels. He then transitioned into commercial diving with Orion Marine Group, where he performed underwater marine construction, pipeline installations, and non-destructive testing.

Prior to founding A.J. Arenburg Financial, he served at two Florida middle-market investment banks and led buy-side efforts for a private family office in Tampa. He also held a senior role in corporate finance at Quality Carriers, focusing on chemical freight logistics, budgeting, and forecasting. Earlier in his career, he supported a Florida law firm on transaction structuring.

He holds a Masters Degree in Finance (MSF) from USF’s Kate Tiedemann School of Business and a BBA in Accounting from UNF’s Coggin College. He also studied economics at Universitat de Valencia and earned FINRA’s SIE certification, ADC credentials, and Diver Certification Board of Canada accreditation.

John Hasken serves as a Senior Financial Analyst at A.J. Arenburg Financial, where he is responsible for business development initiatives and strategic deal sourcing. He supports a wide range of client-focused activities, including market research, business valuations, and the preparation of investment memoranda. John brings a sharp analytical approach and operational discipline to the firm’s investment banking and strategic advisory engagements.

Before joining A.J. Arenburg Financial, John worked as an independent financial analyst, where he enhanced portfolio performance through data-driven market strategies and refined financial models. A U.S. Army veteran who achieved the rank of Captain (O-3), John has over six years of leadership experience in operations, logistics coordination, and data management across domestic and international assignments. His ability to lead teams, implement process improvements, and deliver accurate financial insights under pressure directly contributes to the firm’s performance standards.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from James Madison University and is currently completing a certificate program at the University of North America. He is also licensed in Life and Variable Annuities in the State of Florida through the Florida Department of Financial Services.
